What degree do you need for CNC?

The specific degree requirements for a career in CNC (Computer Numerical Control) technology vary depending on the type of position and the employer. Generally speaking, many entry-level CNC jobs require a high school diploma and some postsecondary training in machining, computer-aided design (CAD) and/or computer-aided manufacturing (CAM). Employers may also require certification in CNC programming and operation. More advanced positions may require an associate’s degree in industrial technology, manufacturing technology, or a related field.
